All Natural Pet Products Are Plastic Neutral by rePurpose Global

This means that Natural Pet funds the removal of as much plastic from the environment as it uses in its packaging.

Project Sueño Azul

The Plastic Crisis in Bogotá

Bogotá faces a serious plastic waste management challenge. The city’s infrastructure is unable to process the sheer volume of plastic generated daily—especially flexible plastics like multilayer packaging (MLP). In fact, less than 2% of these materials are properly collected, leading to harmful dumping practices that damage agricultural land and local ecosystems.

How It Works

This initiative, powered by rePurpose Global, focuses on intercepting low-value plastic waste before it enters the environment. The project works closely with local waste workers and communities to recover plastics often ignored by mainstream recycling systems.

Collected materials like MLP, PP, and LDPE are transformed into usable products such as plastic wood and reusable bags, contributing to a circular economy while reducing reliance on virgin plastic.

Our funding helps improve waste collection systems and provides stable, dignified employment to local waste workers—many of whom operate informally without access to proper safety gear, wages, or benefits.

Our Impact

By supporting Project Sueño Azul, Natural Pet is helping address both environmental degradation and social inequality in Bogotá. The project creates a structured and scalable model for collecting hard-to-recycle plastics that would otherwise be dumped illegally or burned.

Ultimately, our partnership supports a cleaner Bogotá, protects local agriculture and biodiversity from the impacts of plastic pollution, and contributes to a global movement for circular, sustainable economies.
